Airport Passenger Traffic

* Traffic counts include total enplanements and deplanements at each airport.

• In October 2025, total passenger traffic across California’s top ten airports reached 18.8 million, with domestic travelers accounting for 81% of the volume. Overall traffic was down 0.8% compared to October 2024.
• The state’s three busiest airports—LAX (6.2M), SFO (4.8M), and SAN (2.3M)—collectively handled 13.3 million passengers during the month.
• San Jose (SJC, -12.1%) , Oakland (OAK, -10.9%) and Burbank (BUR, -8.5%) reported the steepest year-over-year declines.
• Meanwhile, Orange County (8.4%) and San Diego  (+5.4%) experienced modest growth for the month.
