Club California is an international training series and educational platform designed to engage and motivate travel advisors and tour operators to develop and sell California product. Participating partners receive dedicated opportunities to address international audiences directly or through in-market representation. Programs are cost effective, giving California partners of all sizes an opportunity to increase international business.
Seminars are held in California’s highest spending international markets where travel advisors influence consumer booking decisions. Advisor education is a proven pillar of travel trade marketing, as it builds familiarity and trust. Advisors are much less likely to risk their reputation with their clients by booking unfamiliar destinations — and overseas advisors may simply not know about many of California’s hidden gems.
Club California is Visit California’s on-ground training platform that brings the Golden State directly to key travel sellers and decision makers. Designed to deepen relationships and elevate product knowledge, the program equips frontline agents with the insights they need to confidently sell California and convert demand into business. The initiative has performed exceptionally well in India, delivering high engagement and strong partner ROI. For Mumbai, one of the country’s most important outbound markets, Visit California will open up to eight buy-in opportunities for California partners looking to tap into this high-value audience.
Mumbai is India’s financial capital and a major gateway for international travel. It has strong US-bound traffic, high-spending travelers and robust airline connectivity to California and beyond. The city continues to be a priority market for outbound growth. Visit California aims to train 60 agents, giving them a feel of California as the Ultimate Playground and hosting a playful team-building session to foster deeper relationships with trade partners.
The program will feature a seven-minute training presentation per partner highlighting core USPs with a focus on family, sports and events. Partners will also participate in one-on-one meetings to address leads and active queries. A fun team-building workshop will encourage interaction among attendees. Additional engagement elements will include a Q&A session, a quiz, lucky draws and giveaways. Each participant will receive a personalized participation certificate, and the event will offer dedicated in-person networking and engagement opportunities.
